Walking tour to Hermonavanq, a medieval educational center. Proceed to Yeghegis Village to see the ancestral shrine of Orbelyan Rulers. Visit 13th century Jewish cemetery and Zorats Temple, 14th century monument with uniqu structure. Drive to Smbataberd in 4WD cars.
This is an impregnable hilltop fortress. Next stop is at TsakhatsKar Monastery. Lunch in a local house in Artabuynq. After lunch visit to the 10th century “injured witness”, the monastery of Shadivanq. Here, in the village of Shatin you’ll visit the observatory of bezoar goats. The last visit of the day will be to Arates village to see the ruins of quondam powerful monastery.
