Drive to Arinj village. Visit a handmade unique cave of the 21st Century. Stairs carved in the grey basalt lead down to a depth of 21 meters. After 80 stairs you find yourself in a round hall with decorated alcoves, then on to another room with columns, before entering a hall that calls to mind the interior of a church. Further and further into the cave the labyrinth of stairs carries you, into six halls of this rocky engraved museum, each with its own unique carvings.
Tsaghkadzor is a city and a popular health resort in Armenia located north of Hrazdan in the Kotayk Province. The population of 1,600 in 2009, is a decrease of more than half of the 3,400 reported in the 1989 census. Tsaghkadzor means valley of flowers in Armenian.
The city is located 50 kilometers north of Yerevan, on the southeastern slope of the Teghenis Mountains, at a height of 1750 meters above sea level, surrounded by alpine meadows. Many people choose this undiscovered destination to combine their snow experience with an extraordinary experience of touring the country in wintertime. The best months for skiing and snowboarding are normally February and March. Usually, snow cover is good from January to mid-April.
